DIY Studded Floral Purse Revamp

I just got new studs from the post so I was really excited to do a diy with them. I came up with the idea to revamp my old purse and give it a new life! Here is a tutorial for it...

This was the result, you should give it a try too! 

Step 1.

Find a old envelope purse. I got mine about a year ago for just 50 cents at a flea market, and I used it all the time. Let's just say it's best days were coming to an end...

Step 2.

Get a piece of fabric of your choice. Stretchy fabric works the best, because you will be bending it while opening your purse.

Step 3.

Glue the fabric to the purse in one big piece. It's best to use good durable glue, but just a bit so the whole purse doesn't harden up.

Step 4.

Add studs if you would like to. The purse was so thick that I had to just stick the studs in with pliers without bending the ends, because they didn't come through. 

 

Step 5.

You are ready, yayy! Here are a couple more pictures...

DIY Cutout Dress

I needed a dress for a friends birthday party, so I decided to sew one. I didn't use a pattern, I just played around with the fabric for two days and I think it turned out alright! I sewed quite a lot of the dress by hand, because I didn't want to mess up.

When the dress was ready I glued some decorative pearls to the top of the dress, big in the middle and small on the sides.

DIY Clothes

I haven't made any new diy creations lately, but here are some of my earlier projects!

This ombre denim vest used to be long, wide and ugly. I just cut it up, took in the waist and played around with some bleach, easy!

I bought this denim jacket for just 20 cents at the thrift store! I cut the sleeves and the bottom, and took in the waist. Then I sewed on the lace, very easy!

Crop tops like this are all around stores at the moment, and I really wanted one, so I decided to make one myself! I cut the very top of an old strappy dress, in a bandeau style as the base for my top. Then I sewed two layers of fabric in the front, and one layer in the back.

I had just a little bit of this fabric left, so I made another crop top like the other one. This only has one layer of fabric in the front.

This is me! I bought this summer hat second hand last weekend for only 2 euros. :)

DIY tribal print shorts

Tribal print shorts and other clothes are very on trend this summer. I really wanted a pair of shorts like these, so I bought second hand jeans did a little DIY magic on them! Here's a tutorial for my first blog post!

This is my result, and what you will end up with if you decide to try this tutorial out!

Step 1. 

Find your old pair of white or any light colored jeans or go and buy them second hand, I got this pair for just 1 euro, so it's not exactly expensive! Then cut them into shorts with the length you like.

Step 2. 

Get out a ruler and a pencil and mark a row dots as in the picture. Leave about 3 cm space in between, and then mark another row of dots about 2 cm under each dot. This is where the first row of pattern will be. 

    

Step 3.

Sew a crossing pattern from dot to dot with a zigzag stitch. You should get one row of the black pattern. Then leave enough space in between, repeat the last step and sew another pattern in the same way.

I decided to go with a simple triangle pattern in the middle but you can do what pleases you.

       

 

Step 4.

Grab some fun colored threads and sew in the triangles and squares.

Step 5.

You are done! Cut off all the excess threads and you have got yourself an awesome new pair of shorts.

I am so happy I got away with making these myself, I saved a whole lot of money. And I will surely be wearing these all summer!
